It is a well-known fact that the employment of staff in South Africa has become increasingly difficult for employers over the past few years.
The Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Skills Development and Training Act, the Employment Equity Act and the various Health and Safety legislations, to name but a few, place huge legal and social responsibilities upon employers. Some specialized members of our team, led by Mr. Baloyi, can ably assist in chairing a disciplinary hearing, providing representation, and prosecuting at the disciplinary hearing.

Moses Baloyi expertise in employment law earned him a position as a commissioner at the CCMA. Since 2013, he has occasionally served as an acting judge in the Labour Court. He wrote some landmark decisions that provided new perspectives on certain grey areas of the law. Gordon Nokhanda is the project leader for commercial matters including liquidations, sequestration, and business rescue. For more than 15 years, he has been appointed as a liquidator by the Master of the High Court and resolved complex winding ups.

Upon receiving instructions, perusal of the documents commences.
We prepare full and comprehensive legal advice on prospects of the case’s success.
Preparation of the pre-litigation process, including perusal advice, and opinions of the matter. Ensure that the case is attended to on time and no default judgment is issued by the High Court. Prepare for the litigation proceedings.
Drafting of legal notices and pleadings
Attending to taxation of costs order, if applicable.
Full and legally sound advice during and after the litigation proceeding. Submission of a full written close-out report with recommendations and;
Represent the organization on various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including arbitration hearings, Labour Court, and the Labour appeal Court act.
Our law firm has its own administrative support, we can record the proceedings and prepare bundles.
We have a board room office for consultations if need be.
We are registered with various online legal libraries for the purpose of case law research.
We make reasonable efforts to adhere to the time limits agreed to.
Where no time limits are agreed to, the services will be rendered within a reasonable period and, where necessary, in according with the prevailing legislation or court rules.
We are expected to respond to any issue raised by telephone or email within 24 hours and to any issue raised in any letter or similar manner within 48 hours.
No more than two meetings, for the briefing and preparation of the case unless otherwise.

Moses Baloyi was admitted as an attorney in June 1999 and has performed various functions within the legal profession, including being a CCMA Commissioner and Acting Judge of Labour Court of South Africa.
Gordon Nokhanda was admitted as an attorney in 2019 with his rare and critical skills in
insolvency law places our firm in excellent position in litigation and liquidation of insolvent entities and natural persons, as we are included in the Master of the High Court panel of Liquidators.
Dimakatso Mahlangu & Nomsa Dhladhla deal with administration and management of workflow to ensure efficiency and adherence to date lines.
Mzwakhe Tshabalala attends to filing and delivery of documents, both manually and electronically.
